Certificate (also known as SKCK) is an official document confirming the absence of a criminal record during your stay in Indonesia. This document is valid for 6 months.

The Difference Between Original and Fake Non Criminal Record (SKCK)
When verifying an SKCK, there are a few key details you should keep in mind to ensure it’s genuine:
- Check the Format and Font: Authentic SKCK documents use a specific font style that can vary with each new official in charge. The latest SKCKs no longer include religious affiliation or fingerprint sections on the certificate. If you come across an SKCK in the old format, it’s likely not original and may no longer be valid.
- Verify the Signature: Make sure to check the signature on the document, as the authorized signatory can change with each term of office. The current official is FERI R. SITORUS, S.I.K, M.H.
- Examine the English Language: Take a close look at the English used on the Non Criminal Record (SKCK). Proper English should be used without spelling or passport-related errors, which are rare on genuine documents. If you spot any mistakes, it’s best to double-check the authenticity of your SKCK.
Using these quick tips will help you identify whether your Non Criminal Record (SKCK) is real or fake. Be cautious when choosing an agent to handle such important paperwork, as it can make all the difference.
How to Verify the Originality of Non Criminal Record (SKCK)

Frequently Asked Questions
- I’m not in Bali, but I want to verify my SKCK. Can you help?
Absolutely, we can help verify whether your SKCK is authentic through the apostille process. We’ll ensure this verification is handled officially—just send a photocopy of your SKCK and passport to us via WhatsApp.
- I’ve heard that you need a KITAS to obtain an SKCK, but some agencies offer SKCK services without it. Could these be fake?
To get a full SKCK, a KITAS is indeed required. However, if you don’t have a KITAS, you can still obtain an SKCK statement letter, which serves a similar purpose but has a different format and is written in Indonesian. So, it is possible to get an SKCK without a KITAS, but you would receive an SKCK statement letter or, in some cases, a rejection letter instead of the full SKCK.
- Is there any other way to verify an SKCK without getting an apostille?
Yes, you can verify it by visiting a police station in person or by emailing skck@polri.go.id.
