Overview of Electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA)--- offshore

The e-VOA is Indonesia’s electronic version of the Visa on Arrival. It is a single-entry visitor visa for short stays such as tourism, family visits, brief business meetings, medical checkups, and transit. You may apply online before traveling, or obtain the Visa on Arrival directly at eligible entry points.

Annual Tax Report (Due End of April)

The annual PT PMA tax report, due by April’s end, summarizes income, deductions, and tax payments for the fiscal year.

Purpose

The Visa on Arrival is designed to facilitate short-term visits to Indonesia for:

Tourism & leisure
Visiting friends & family
Business meetings, discussions & contract signing (non-salaried)
Goods purchasing or site visits
Medical checkups/treatments (non-inpatient)
Transit

Work is not permitted. Paid employment or income-generating activities are strictly prohibited under the e-VOA/VOA.

Validity

Stay duration: 30 days from the date of arrival in Indonesia.
Visa validity to enter: 90 days from the date of issuance (you must enter before it expires).
Entry type: Single entry only.

Tip: Apply online 2–14 days before your trip. If eligible, you can also purchase the VOA upon arrival.

Extension Possibility

You may extend once for an additional 30 days (maximum stay up to 60 days).
Extensions can be done online or at a local Immigration Office in Indonesia. It’s recommended to start the process around 7 days before your first 30 days expire.
No conversion: The VOA/e-VOA cannot be converted into another type of visa while inside Indonesia. If you need a longer stay beyond 60 days, you must exit Indonesia and apply for a Single-Entry Tourist Visit Visa (C1/B211A) or another suitable visa before re-entry.

Overstay warning: IDR 1,000,000 fine per day. Overstays beyond 60 days risk deportation and possible blacklisting.

Visa Extension Information

Eligibility: All travelers entering with a VOA/e-VOA.
Number of extensions allowed: 1 time only.
Extension duration: 30 days (maximum stay: 60 days in total).

Processing Time

Online e-VOA: Approval is usually issued within 1 working days after payment, though it may be faster.
Visa on Arrival (at airport/seaport): Issued immediately upon arrival at eligible entry points.
Important: Apply online at least 3–7 days before your flight to avoid delays or unexpected technical issues.
