    Retirement KITAS (1 Year) – E33F

Retirement KITAS E33F Indonesia 2025 – Long-Term Stay Visa for Foreign Retirees Living Comfortably in Bali

    Overview of Retirement KITAS E33F

The Retirement KITAS (E33F) is a 1-year Limited Stay Permit designed for foreign nationals aged 55 and above who wish to retire in Bali or anywhere in Indonesia.

This visa allows retirees to legally reside in Indonesia while enjoying long-term stay privileges, without needing to invest or work.

It is especially popular among foreigners looking to settle in Bali thanks to its affordable living, tropical lifestyle, and supportive retirement infrastructure.

    Purpose

The Retirement KITAS is intended to provide long-term stay rights for retirees who wish to live in Indonesia during their retirement years.

    Validity

    • Valid for 1 year from the date of issuance.
    • Renewable annually, with a maximum of 5 consecutive years.
    • After 5 years of continuous stay, holders may apply for a Permanent Stay Permit (KITAP).

    Extension Possibility

    • Renewable annually at the Immigration Office in Bali or elsewhere in Indonesia.
    • After 5 extensions, the holder can apply for a KITAP for a more permanent status.

    Applicable Activities

Holders of a Retirement KITAS may:

    • Reside in Indonesia legally during retirement.
    • Lease property (house or villa) for personal residence.
    • Hire household staff such as a driver or domestic helper.
    • Obtain Indonesian ID cards for foreigners (SKTT) and local driver’s license.
    • Open a bank account in Indonesia.

⚠️ Note: Retirement KITAS holders are not permitted to work or earn income in Indonesia.

Essential Documentation for Retirement KITAS Application

    • Supporting Documents in Indonesia:

      • Lease agreement of a house or villa (minimum 1 year)
      • Sponsorship letter from a licensed retirement visa agent (mandatory)

💡 Additional documents may be required depending on your nationality and Immigration regulations.

    KITAS Extension Information

    • Retirement KITAS can be extended annually up to 5 years in total.
    • After 5 years, the retiree may apply for a KITAP (Permanent Stay Permit).
    • Family members may be sponsored under a dependent KITAS tied to the main retiree.

⚠️ Overstay Warning: Overstaying will result in fines of IDR 1,000,000 per day, and may lead to deportation or blacklisting.

    Processing Time of Work KITAS

    • Offshore Application (before entering Indonesia):
      • Standard processing: 10–15 working days
      • Express service via agent: 7–10 working days
    • Onshore Conversion (if already in Indonesia):
      • Standard processing: 3–4 weeks
