Unlike the standard 1-year Retirement KITAS (E33F), the E33E offers a direct 5-year validity under Indonesia’s Silver Hair Program, making it an ideal option for retirees who want security, stability, and fewer administrative renewals.

Purpose

The Silver Hair Retirement KITAS is intended to provide long-term residence for retirees who want to settle in Indonesia with peace of mind, without the hassle of yearly renewals.

Validity

Valid for 5 years from the date of issuance.
No need for annual renewal, unlike the 1-year Retirement KITAS.
After 5 years, retirees may apply for a Permanent Stay Permit (KITAP) if eligible.

Extension Possibility

After the initial 5-year period, retirees can extend further or apply for a KITAP.
KITAP provides up to 10 years of renewable stay, offering even more stability.

Holders of a Silver Hair Retirement KITAS may:

Reside in Indonesia legally for retirement purposes.
Lease long-term housing (villa or house) for personal residence.
Employ household staff (maid, driver, gardener, etc.).
Obtain a foreigner’s ID card (SKTT) and Indonesian driver’s license.
