Overview of the C2 Business Visa

The Single Entry Business Visa (C2) is Indonesia’s official long-stay business visa for foreigners who need to conduct non-employment business activities in Indonesia. It is designed for visitors who wish to attend meetings, negotiations, conferences, training, or business-related visits beyond the short limits of the Visa on Arrival (VOA).

With this visa, you can stay in Indonesia for up to 180 days (6 months) on a single entry. Once you exit the country, the visa automatically expires.

⚠️ Important: The C2 visa does not permit employment, freelance work, or　income-generating activities in Indonesia.

The C2 Business Visa is intended for foreigners conducting business-related but non-salaried activities in Indonesia. It is suitable for:

Attending business meetings, negotiations, and contract signings
Participating in conferences, seminars, or training sessions
Market research and business development visits
Visiting branch offices, suppliers, or partners in Indonesia
Establishing initial business connections before forming a company (PT PMA)

Validity

Initial stay: Usually issued for 60 days.
Maximum stay: Up to 180 days (6 months) with extensions.
Entry type: Single entry only (the visa expires once you leave Indonesia).

Extension Possibility

The C2 Business Visa can typically be extended every 60 days, up to a total of 180 days.
Extensions are processed at local Immigration Offices in Indonesia, or through a licensed visa agent.
It’s best to apply for an extension 7–10 days before the current stay expires.

⚠️ Overstay penalty: IDR 1,000,000 per day. Overstaying beyond the limit can result in deportation and blacklisting.

Essential Documentation

To apply for the C2 Business Visa, you must prepare the following documents:

Passport valid for at least 6 (six) months (for holders of travel documents other than passports such as emergency passports, documents of identity, etc. must be valid for 12 months).
Personal bank statement the last 3 months period (including name, date of period, and balance account).
Latest color photograph.
